A little over two months after it last took the field in an Orange Bowl victory, the WVU football team will be back at it in preparation for the 2012 season.

Spring football practice will begin in Morgantown on March 11 and conclude drills with the annual Gold-Blue Game April 21.

Unlike recent years in which the public scrimmage was scheduled for a Friday night, this year’s will be played on Saturday. The return to a weekend game should give more WVU fans a chance to make it to town and get the first glimpse of the team that will attempt an encore following its BCS bowl win.
