Five home games against Big 12 opponents.
Along with non-conference home games against Marshall and Maryland and a neutral-site game with James Madison in Washington, D.C., that gives WVU eight money-making games in 2012.
All Big 12 games are played on Saturdays. (Barring any changes to accomodate TV schedules.)

Word to your unkle rufus
Looks pretty good!
Pitt is, of course, missing… but both sides are reportedly looking into ways to make it a non-conf game in future years. (Not necessary in my opinion, but I can understand the desire to continue the series.)
I’m not sure how I’m gonig to behave when presented with an “official” schedule that doesn’t include a Thrs or Fri night game… Wondering if this will be the end of “Noon kicks” as well?
thinking of bringing my boys to the Spring game – see any of you guys there?
Actually, there’s a good chance that Shane, Ern and I will all be there… still a bit too early to say for sure, though.
Anyone else planning to go?
a real schedule that the pundits can’t dismiss. someone on BR predicted that we would sell out every game this year, and I would agree. Now does that include the visitor’s section? do you think Kansas, OK, Iowa and TX will come east? (actually we visit KSU and KU!?!)
I live near DC so will be buying JMU tickets soon. EXCITED. you guys need to put a countdown to kickoff on the site.
Our “visitor section” holds, what? A thousand people? I’m sure many of the teams in the Big 12 are just as curious/excited about coming to Mo’town as we are about going to their towns. I’ll be shocked if the visitor’s area isn’t completely full… at least for the first two years.
A 10-2 season in the first year is definitely possible. Anything more will depend on the defense, but the offense can score on anyone.
Then again, we’re almost a mirror of Oklahoma State from last year, except with the potential to be better. So, a run at the NC is not out of the question.
This will definitely help to cement a perennial Top-15 program. With the basketball team projected to develop over the rest of this year into next, we may be coming into a Golden Age of WVU sports.
As T.O. would say, “Getcha popcorn ready!”
actually WVU allots the visisting team 5,000 seats. And those seats are too good IMHO. I suggest moving students to the visitors section (Sec 101-thru-98), and move the visitors to the upper level. Certainly visitors should not have as good as seats as WVU gives them.
Also, this will be the first spring game I will miss in over 15 years.
I have meetings in Charleston that weekend. arrrgh…
