The recent secondary violation declared by WVU for wearing “spider pads” during the first two days of practice has my feathers ruffled.

What’s disappointing from a journalistic standpoint is that the outfit that broke the story—The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette—failed to report on the exact same violation that took place at the University of Pittsburgh, in their own backyard. It’s disappointing that the newspaper of record in Pittsburgh would point out the violation at WVU but not at Pitt.

Interesting… the article seems to have been removed from their site. Not to start a conspiracy theory, but perhaps someone didn’t like the fact that the article was calling out the Pitt Post-Gazette…?
