A new contender has added his name to the mix for West Virginia’s kicking duties going forward.
Alex Louthan, named the IMG Academies All-Madden kicker/punter after his performance in the Bradenton, Fla. mini camp last summer, committed to join the Mountaineers as a preferred walk-on Sunday.
“I just really had a great feeling about West Virginia when I visited when they played their senior night against Kansas and I just loved the whole atmosphere and everything about West Virginia,” Louthan says.
This is coming from a young man who lived in Wichita, Kan. Through his sophomore year of high school at Bishop Carroll Catholic before moving to Florida for a season with Cocoa High and ultimately landing for a senior season at Grayson.
