West Virginia was picked to finish ninth in the 2009-10 Big East Conference women’s basketball race, as the preseason coaches’ poll was announced today.
WVU Coach Mike Carey’s team finished 18-15, with a 5-11 Big East record last season in the 16-team conference.
Defending NCAA champion and three-time defending Big East champ Connecticut was a unanimous choice to win the conference title again. The Huskies got 15 votes among the 16 coaches, who could not vote for their own team.
