WVU looks to end Notre Dame hot streak

West Virginia shocked a hot Notre Dame team a year ago at the WVU Coliseum.  The Mountaineers will try to do the same tonight when they host the Fighting Irish at 9 p.m.

Notre Dame enters tonight’s game as one of the hottest teams in the Big East, riding a four-game winning streak with wins against then-No. 1 Syracuse, No. 19 Connecticut and No. 15 Marquette.

“They’re really playing great,” said West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins. “(Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey) has done a terrific job. They struggled initially, but he’s really got them playing.”
