They’re raising awareness and providing support to the coal mining industry, but those taking part in the Remember The Miners Event Tuesday will also be having fun talking hoops.
The event, set for Tuesday at the Moose Lodge in Charleston, will feature West Virginia University men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins. Jason Parsons, the director of Remember the Miners, says the event serves several purposes.
“We’re coming to celebrate West Virginia basketball. We’re coming to pay tribute to our coach, and we’re coming to celebrate the men and women of the West Virginia coal mining industry,” Parsons said. “It should be a great time.”
