It’s time to book a hotel room for the Big East championship…

We received what I can only assume was a message from a mass-emailing today, pushing an article at a hotel review website. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be cause for a post on our site, but the subject matter of this particular e-mail is such that I think it’s worth sharing.

So, from our inbox to your screen:

Big East basketball teams will converge in New York City in just a few weeks to duke it out for the title of champion, and fans like yourself will flock to Manhattan to watch. With almost 20,000 seats in Madison Square Garden, the hotel experts at Oyster Hotel Reviews only have one thing on their minds.

Where will everyone sleep?!

After staying in almost 200 NYC hotels, we’ve considered all of the hotels close to the Garden and are recommending our favorites — with different types of fans in mind. Are you a poor college student? Are you bringing your significant other? We’ve got a hotel for you.

After checking the site out, I have to say it’s refreshing to see a travel site focusing on an event that is probably otherwise ignored or glossed over by other, similar sites. (OK, so I’m a Big East homer… like you aren’t?)

The folks at Oyster break down the best hotels in multiple categories, ranging from “Best Hotel for Recreating Your College Dorm Experience” to “Best Hotel for Drinking Your Sorrows Away When Your Team Loses”.

If, like tens of thousands of other Big East fans, you’re heading to NYC for the tournament, the article is definetely worth a look.
